from the hides and the wilds - portraits of nature in Hannu's Footsteps - Finland's first Nature Photography centre in the Karhuntassu Tourism Centre.
See a rotating selection of nature photographer Hannu Hautala's classic photos and most notable works from over 50 years at the Nature Photography Centre. The Hall of the Siberian Jay shows exhibitions by Finland's most notable nature photographers.
Tickets: Adults 5 €, children (7-15 yrs) 2 €, children under 7 years free of charge. Family ticket (parents and children under 16 years) 12 €. Group ticket (min. 15 persons) 2,50 €/person.
Become familiar with wide-ranging photo production techniques using digital media solutions: by rocking in Hannu's Rocking Chair you'll find yourself in the company of his photos, and by lightly brushing Hannu's Desk you'll be surrounded by a whole range of his works. Hannu's Map will guide you to the best photo locations and views along the Karhunkierros Trail. Nature photographers can display their work in The Hall of the Siberian Jay. The Kids' Den provides a family oriented way to experience exhibits.
In the Café, you will find nature photography books and magazines, postcards, posters and other nature-themed products.
